Farmersville Texas Portrait Session Locations

I absolutely love my small home town of Farmersville. We are about 45 minutes north east of Dallas, and you can't beat this historic town charm. Here are my favorite session locations in and around Farmersville!

Downtown Farmersville

You can't beach the charm of this historic Texas town. There are brick roads, historic buildings, and it's all close enough to walk to. After your session, make sure to grab coffee at 12 Stories Coffee, or ice-cream at Hibbitts!

The Chaparral Trail

The Chaparral Trail is a local hike/bike trail that starts in Farmersville and continues over 100 miles. It's also called the Onion Shed trail, because it starts at the Onion Shed in Farmersville. It has a thick canopy of trees in the spring and summer, and beautiful colors in the fall.

Our Family Farm

We are first generation farmers on a beautiful property near Farmersville. If the weather and mud cooperate, it is a great photo location! We have plans to plant wildflowers for the spring, and sunflowers in the summer.

Parkhill Prairie

Parkhill Prairie is a park in north east Collin County. It's a beautiful open space with some trails and a natural landscape. Think beautiful Texas skies, and miles of open fields all around. There's a beautiful pond, and really nice colors in the fall. This is a wonderful location year-round.

Cottonwood Creek in Allen, Texas

When I was a kid, I grew up playing in this little creek near my neighborhood. I didn't appreciate the beauty back then, but it makes a gorgeous location for photography. If you're looking for a local rock-bottom creek with easy access, this is the perfect spot! The area I use is mostly shallow, so it's perfect for the family. If you have smaller kids, make sure to bring a change of clothes! It's hard to resist splashing in this beautifully clear creek.

Oak Point Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas

This open space area is a beautiful location for natural outdoor photos. There is a small pond, large trees, and beautiful wildflowers. The area that I like to use is a big of a hike, but worth it! Although this park is fairly busy, this little area feels like you're in your own private field!
